Abstract
A digital signal processing circuit for field programmable radio frequency communications system including a digital controlled numerical controlled oscillator (NCO), dual digital signal conditioning circuits, and dual mixer circuits. The various circuits are responsive to digital commands for configuring the digital signal processing circuit to function with a variety of signaling schemes or waveforms. When configuring for angle modulation, a single conditioning and mixer is used and the modulating digital input signal is up converted to the center frequency of the NCO by the conditioning circuit and applied to an offset input of the NCO.
