Abstract
A fluidic valve assembly having a fluidic valve mechanism similar to the mechanisms in U.S. Pat. Nos. 5,003,780 and 5,348,040 provided with improved valve positioning devices which provide improvements in providing the force to move the valve members, and in positioning fluidic valve members in their valve chambers so that the valve members open and close a chamber port, depending upon the direction of fluid flow through the valve chamber. Such devices include providing cam ears on a flow sensitive positioning blade to improve valve position and freedom of the valve member to be moved by fluid flow; the provision of a device using the force multiplication advantage of a toggle arrangement to increase the force acting on a valve member to open it, for example; use of a flow rod timed with the action of a positioning blade construction on a valve member; and use of an outside power source such as a solenoid actuated element acting in conjunction with a valve positioning blade arrangement to open and close a valve member, particularly in vehicle ABS and/or traction control systems, while providing such systems with mechanical/hydraulic backup in case of electrical failure so that the …
