Abstract
The invention relates to a process for the demodulation of signals representative of sequences (SE1 to SEN) transmitted in a communications system, which includes determining a correlation value (a1 to an), deducting from the correlation values (a1 to an) a confidence value (w1 to wN), and deducting from the confidence values (w1 to wN) soft decision values (C1 to Ck) to be used for each element of the demodulated symbol.
