Abstract
The present invention provides isolated polynucleotide molecules comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding the DHFR-TS protein of Neospora which polynucleotide molecules are useful in preparing modified live vaccines against neosporosis, and as diagnostic reagents. The present invention further provides cloning and expression vectors, transformed host cells, substantially purified DHFR-TS proteins and peptide fragments, genetic constructs useful for targeted gene deletion, and vaccine compositions.
