Abstract

A submersible fuel filter device (1) of suctional type is connectable to the end of a fuel inlet hose (2) in a fuel tank and comprises a filter (3) consisting of porous plastic with a surrounding outer wall (10) with an upper border (11), a lid (4) provided with an outlet opening (24) that covers the filter (3) and is connected to the outer wall's upper border. The filter is embodied like a cup-shaped body and has a through flow thickness, or material thickness, which is considerably smaller than the other dimensions of the body, and its porosity is less than 10 &mgr;m. The inlet suction hose (2) is connected to said outlet suction opening (24).
