Abstract
A photoconductive imaging member containing a supporting substrate, a hole blocking layer thereover, a photogenerating layer, and a charge transport layer, and wherein the hole blocking layer is generated from crosslinking an organosilane (I) in the presence of a hydroxy-functionalized polymer (II) for example, wherein R is alkyl or aryl, R1, R2, and R3 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkoxy, aryloxy, acyloxy, halide, cyano, and amino; A and B are respectively divalent and trivalent repeating units of polymer (II); D is a divalent linkage; x and y represent the mole fractions of the repeating units of A and B, respectively, and wherein x is from about 0 to about 0.99, and y is from about 0.01 to about 1, and wherein the sum of x+y is equal to about 1.
