Abstract

The present invention relates to novel substituted (&agr;,&bgr;-fused butyrolactones, to processes for their preparation and to their use for the prevention and/or treatment of disorders caused by hyper- or hypofunction of the glutamatergic system, in particular of cerebral ischaemias, craniocerebral trauma, states of pain or CNS-mediated spasms.
