Abstract

The invention relates to a flotation method and a flotation reactor. The invention provides a method and a device, wherein the formation of the gas bubbles needed for flotation are produced by catalytic reaction of a chemical substance, i.e. H2O2, thereby saving energy and reducing the number of compressors. Flocculation also occurs in a tangential flow in the funnel-shaped expansion (12) of an admission pipe (8) so that a flocculation basin with a stirrer is no longer required.
