Abstract
A scroll compressor using helium gas as working gas, has a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll, engaged with each other, each having a scroll tooth profile shape of a set volume ratio of a scroll wrap portion of 1.8 to 2.3. The set volume ratio of a scroll wrap portion is defined by the following expression: where Vr: set volume ratio of a scroll wrap portion, &lgr;1: an angle at a wrap winding end portion (Involute angle), &lgr;s: an angle at a wrap winding start portion (Involute angle), &pgr;: circle ratio, &agr;: ratio of an orbiting radius (&egr;th) to a base circle radius (a) of the scroll wrap (&egr;th/a)
