Abstract
An absorbent article such as a sanitary napkin, an incontinence pad, panty liner or the like, which article is intended to be substantially accommodated within a user's panties and comprising an absorbent upper part (2) and an absorbent lower part (3), which two parts are mutually joined in such a manner that the article, at least in its mid portion (26), presents an elongate cavity between the upper part (2) and the lower part (3) which is maintained during use.
