Abstract
A forming jig used for forming a fiber-reinforced composite structure from a plurality of first fiber-reinforced composite preforms la, 1b, . . . linearly arranged at given intervals and one or more second fiber-reinforced composite preforms 2a, . . . passing through gaps between adjacent two first preforms and intersecting a row of the first preforms 1a, 1b, . . . comprises a combination of (a) elastic jigs 5 engageable with the intersections of the row of the first preforms 1a, 1b, . . . and the second preforms 2a, . . . , and (b) rigid jigs 6, 6′ attachable to the first preforms 1a, 1b, . . . and the second preforms 2a, in portions of these preforms other than the intersections.
