Abstract
A system and method for managing storage from multiple data storage devices are disclosed. The system and method provide improved load balancing, reduction or elimination of fragmentation, improved redundancy schemes, and efficient changes in hardware configurations. Redundancy methods are employed to prevent loss of data from an occurrence of a multiple disk failure.
