Abstract
A method is describe for removing metal ions of interest from aqueous solutions containing low concentrations of the metal ions of interest. The method involves the use of a microbially produced polymer, &ggr;-glutamic acid. The polymer is used in conjunction with tangential flow filtration and results in substantial removal of metal ions.
