Abstract
F(CF2)n(CH2)mNH2 is produced in high yield, while reducing the amount of by-products contained in the reaction product and preventing the reactor from corroding. Provided is a process for producing a fluorinated alkylamine compound, which comprises reacting a compound represented by F(CF2)n(CH2)mX (wherein X represents a chlorine atom, a bromine atom or an iodine atom, and n and m each independently represents an integer of at least 1) with NH3 to produce a compound represented by F(CF2)n(CH2)mNH2 (wherein n and m have the same meanings as the above), and is characterized by conducting the reaction in the presence of a reaction solvent comprising an alkanediol as an essential component.
