Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for mechanically stripping the insulation of electrical and fiber-optic single- or multi-line conductors (26). The device comprises: an inlet opening for the conductor (26) or for a conductor end, a clamping device with at least one clamping jaw (6) and at least one knife (8) for cutting through an insulation around the conductor (26). An electric motor (25) drives a threaded spindle (21). This drives both clamping jaws (6) and knife (8) via couplings and control surfaces.
