Abstract

The present invention relates to liquid detergent compositions comprising a polymeric material which is a suds enhancer and a suds volume extender, said compositions having increased effectiveness for preventing re-deposition of grease during hand washing. The polymeric material which are suitable as suds volume and suds endurance enhancers comprise an effective amount of a polymeric suds stabilizer comprise:i) units capable of having a cationic charge at a pH of from about 4 to about 12; provided that said suds stabilizer has an average cationic charge density of 2.77 or less units per 100 daltons molecular weight at a pH of from about 4 to about 12;b) an effective amount of a detersive surfactant; andc) the balance carriers and other adjunct ingredients;provided that a 10% aqueous solution of said detergent composition has a pH of from about 4 to about 12.positive or negative charge at a pH of from about 4 to about 12. Each R2 is independently hydrogen, hydroxy, amino, guanidino, C1-C4 alkyl, or comprises a carbon chain which can be taken together with R, R1 any R2 units to form an aromatic or non-aromatic ring having from 5 to 10 carbon atoms wherein said ring may be a single ri…
