Abstract
Preparation of 2,5-dichlorophenol by selectively oxidizing 1,4-dichlorobenzene using a peroxo-, hydroperoxo-, superoxo- or alkylperoxo-vanadium species in the presence of an &agr;-hydroxy-, dibasic-, tribasic- or sulfonic acid.
