Abstract
A recording ink composition having a colorant insoluble and dispersible in water, water, a water-soluble organic solvent, a wetting agent, 2-ethyl-1,3-hexanediol, and at least one of surfactants of formulas (I) to (V): wherein R1, R2, R, R′, M−, m, k, n, p, and q are specified in the specification.
