Abstract

A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines, in particular for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, includes a solenoid coil, an armature that is acted upon in a closing direction by a resetting spring, and a valve needle that is in a form-locking connection with the armature for actuating a valve-closure member, which together with a valve seat surface forms a sealing seat. A cooperates with the resetting spring such that the spring forces of the resetting spring and of the are added together.
