Abstract

The invention relates to cosmetic and/or pharmaceutical preparations containing (a) water soluble &bgr;-(1,3) glucans that are substantially devoid of &bgr;-(1,6) links, and (b) deoxyribonucleic acids and their breakdown and degradation products.
