Abstract

A coloring composition and a method of coloring keratin-containing fibers are provided. The coloring composition contains a mixture of and/or a reaction product of at least one heteroaromatic aldehyde or ketone and at least one aromatic and/or heteroaromatic nitroamine. In the method of the present invention, the heteroaromatic aldehyde or ketone and the nitroamine may be applied to keratin-containing fibers simultaneously or successively.
