Abstract
The invention relates to a liquid-crystalline medium based on a mixture of polar compounds having negative dielectric anisotropy, which contains at least one compound of formula I whereinR1 and R2 are independently of each other an alkyl, alkoxy or alkenyl group with 1 to 12 C atoms, it also being possible for one or more CH2 groups in these radicals to be replaced, in each case independently of one another, by —O—, —CH═CH—, —CO—, —OCO— or —COO— in such a manner that oxygen atoms are not linked directly to one another,Z is OCH2 or CH2O, andm is 0 or 1.
