Abstract
A toner for developing an electrostatic image, comprising toner particles each containing at least a colorant and a resin, and an external additive present on each of the toner particles, wherein the water wettability of said toner particles without the external additive is W0, wherein the water wettability of the toner is W100, and wherein (W100−W0)/W100 is not greater than 0.3.
