Abstract

The invention relates to a filter module (4) with a simplified design which allows for the manufacturing of a step filter, Each ply of filter medium is composed of a deep-bed filter material layer (1, 1a-d) and the packing is composed of draining layers (5, 5a, 5b). The draining layers (5, 5a, 5b) and filter layers (5, 5a, 5b) are mutually sealed to the filtrate/non-filtrate chamber (2,3). The filter layers (1, 1a-d) can be arranged according to any pattern.
