Abstract

An electron gun for a cathode-ray tube comprises a dish-shaped control electrode. The electrode is made from three separate components: a substantially plane component drilled with apertures so as to allow the passage of electron beams, and two identically shaped components intended to make a skirt, serving as support for the cathode modules. The three components are welded together. This structure allows the construction of a control electrode serving as support for cathode modules by virtue of inexpensive components that are simple to manufacture.
