An apparatus for.A slide mechanism for a door and structural member assembly, the slide mechanism including a frame, a door carrier movably secured to the frame, a door and structural member such as a B-pillar at least partially supported by the door carrier, a slide mechanism that permits the B-pillar and the door to be moved along the door carrier without detaching from the vehicle frame.
