Abstract

A composition comprising a combination of a compound of formula I in which R1 is hydrogen or 2-(2-hydroxyethoxy)ethyl and/or a pharmacologically tolerable salt thereof, and lung surfactant is useful for treating patients afflicted with IRDS or ARDS.
