Abstract
A blue organic light emitting diode (LED) comprises a cathode formed on a substrate, a light emitting layer formed on said cathode, and an anode formed on said light emitting layer, which is characterized in that said light emitting layer comprises a compound of the following formulas I or II:wherein Ar1 and Ar2 independently are substituted or unsubstituted isochrysenylAr1—Ar2 IAr1—Ar3—Ar2 II(triphenylenyl), anthracenyl, naphthalyl, biphenyl, pyrenyl, or phenanthrenyl; Ar3 is substituted or unsubstituted phenylene, biphenylene, naphthylene, anthracenylene, or fluorenylene.
