Abstract
A thermosensitive recording material having at least a thermosensitive recording layer on one surface of a support and a back coat layer on the other surface of the support, wherein the black coat layer includes multiple layers, and an outermost layer of the back coat layer furthest from the support contains polyvinyl alcohol, an inorganic stratiform compound, and an inorganic pigment. According to the thermosensitive recording material curling caused by a change in environment or by application of heat during recording can be prevented and a coefficient of friction of a back coat layer can be regulated to within a predetermined range.
