Abstract

A device for increasing a selection force is integrated into a support arrangement of a shift lever. The device is pivotable around a pivot axis and also around a tilt axis aligned transversely to the pivot axis. The selection force upon pivoting movements of the shift lever around the tilt axis is produced by at least one lever that is movable against a spring and a runoff roller placed in operative connection with the lever (24, 38). The device is integrated into a support arrangement for pivotable support of the shift lever by a casing in a housing. The support arrangement supports the shift lever pivotably with respect to the casing around the pivot axis and also supports the shift lever with the casing pivotably with respect to the housing around the tilt axis aligned transversely to the pivot axis.
