Abstract
The invention pertains to theophylline (1-methyl, 3-methyl xanthine) and IBMX (1-methyl, 3-isobutyl xanthine) derivatives of formulas I and II: where R1 is —CH3 or —CH2CH(CH3)2, andR2 is where R3 and R4 are independently selected from the group consisting of OCH3, CH3, NO2, F, Cl, Br and I.
