Abstract

A process is described for the catalytic removal of H2S gas from a sour gas stream in the presence of a chelate ligand of the formula (I) A mixture is also described for removing H2S gas from a sour gas stream, the mixture comprising an aminocarboxylate-containing metal chelate complex, and the use is also described of an aminocarboxylate-containing metal chelate complex for removing H2S gas from a sour gas stream.
