Abstract

A carrier system (1) and a method for the mechanical connection of interchangeable supplementary interior equipment, in particular a central console for application in a motor vehicle and for providing an electrical/electronic interface (7) for connection to the on-board electrical supply and/or on-board electronics of the motor vehicle, includes a carrier frame (13), attachment devices (2, 3) with means against unauthorized release, whereby the essentially L-shaped carrier system (1) is arranged suspended in the region between the outer rear seats above the central seat surface and is releasably connected by a rear attachment device (3) and a lower attachment device (12) to the motor vehicle and the supplementary interior equipment by means of the upper attachment device (2) to the carrier system (1).
