The invention provides novel pigment dispersants of the formula (I) in which is a radical of the formula (Ia) s is a number from 0.1 to 4.0 andn is a number from 0 to 2.0;and provides pigment preparations comprising an organic base pigment and a pigment dispersant of the formula (I).
