Abstract
A vinyl polymer having a 9,10-substituted anthracene structure which is a stable structure with a high solid quantum efficiency is obtained from a vinyl monomer having a group derived from the structure of formula (1) wherein n1 is an integer of 1 to 3, each of X1, X2, X3 and X4 is a substituent group, k1 and k4 are integers of 0 to 5, and k2 and k3 are integers of 0 to 4. An organic EL device comprising an organic layer containing the vinyl polymer becomes a molecule dispersed type organic EL device featuring a high efficiency and a long life.
