Abstract

The invention provides a system that allows logic entities that perform within different browser pages to exchange state information such as variable or data element values between each other. To do so, the system of the invention defines a data element having a value for use by a first application logic entity in a first browser page. The system then dynamically generates a browser page identifier for a second browser page which includes state information such as values for data elements defined in the first browser page. The system then invokes access to the second browser page within a browser using the browser page identifier that was dynamically generated. When the browser loads the second browser page, and logic entity in the second browser page of the invention retrieves the value of the data element from the browser page identifier used by the browser to retrieve the second browser page. State information transferred using a browser page identifier in this manner may include multiple values for multiple data elements. The application logic entities within each browser page can thus manipulate values of data elements in those values can be transferred to other application lo…
