Abstract
Novel aryl and heteroaryl sulfonamides are disclosed. The sulfonamides, which are gamma secretase inhibitors, are represented by the formula: wherein Ar1 and Ar2 independently represent aryl or heteroaryl and Y represents a bond or a —(C(R3)2)1-3 group. Also disclosed is a method of inhibiting gamma secretase, and a method of treating Alzheimer's disease using the compounds of formula I.
