Abstract
Tolane compounds of the formula Iwherein R1, R2, L1, L2 and L3 are as defined herein, are described. Further described are liquid-crystalline media comprising at least one tolane compound of formula I as well as liquid-crystal display elements containing such a liquid-crystalline medium.
