The present disclosure relates to a cationic diazo compound of formula (I):Dye1-LK-Dye2wherein Dye1 and Dye2 are such that the compound of formula (I) is not symmetrical, and are chosen from:The disclosure also relates to dye compositions comprising compounds of formula (I) as direct dye, and further relates to a process for dyeing keratin fibers using the compositions disclosed herein and also to a multi-compartment device.
