Abstract
Liquid filter for a motor vehicle and method of venting the filter. The filter includes a venting arrangement adapted to vent air displaced from a filter. The venting arrangement has a first vent nozzle and a second vent nozzle. The first and second vent nozzles are arranged in series along an air flow direction. The first and second vent nozzles provide flow resistance to liquid flow. The method of venting includes arranging the first vent nozzle above the second vent nozzle and spacing the first and second vent nozzles from each other to provide greater resistance to fuel flow than to air flow.
