Abstract
A system and method for the regeneration of a particle filter (13) arranged downstream from a catalyzer unit (14) in an exhaust canal (10) arranged to an internal combustion engine (2), where the internal combustion engine (2) is arranged to assume a first operational mode (60) in which a driving torque is emitted and a second operational mode (80) constituting engine braking where the internal combustion engine (2) supplies compression work to a gas mixture which flows through the exhaust canal (10) without a corresponding expansion work having been emitted from the gas mixture, and a vehicle where the method is utilized.
