Abstract
A new use in magnetic resonance imaging employing a field greater than 1.5 Tesla, of a porphyrin compound of the following general formula I is provided:in which R0 and R′0 are such that the compound is soluble in a biological medium, and M denotes a paramagnetic metal ion, advantageously Mn3+. The present invention also relates to novel porphyrin compounds.
