Abstract
An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a recording head moving device, and a recording medium feeding device. A mark recording device prints a predetermined mark on the recording medium by ejecting ink droplets, and a mark detecting device detects the mark printed by the mark recording device. The mark detecting device is arranged at a predetermined distance from the recording medium, and is moved together with the recording head. The movement amount of the recording medium is determined based on the position where the mark detecting device detects the mark.
