Abstract
A page is accessed that contains at least one computer-based module. The computer-based module can present information obtained from one or more sources. The computer-based module includes properties, such as properties that affect the appearance of the computer-based module and the format of the information displayed by the computer-based module. The properties of the computer-based module can be stored in a database that is separate from the page. The properties of the computer-based module can be modified in a shared mode, accessible to all users of the page, or a personal mode, accessible by one user.
