Abstract
Apparatus, method and computer readable medium are provided for data transfer wherein an initiator driver in a computing system performs a first write operation to a target system wherein the write operation transfers a block of data from the computing system to the target, the write operation including sending a plurality of data packets which together form the block of data, wherein some or all of the data packets are sent only after the driver receives a ready to transfer command from the target. The initiator driver receives a request for a second write operation from the computing system before all the data packets for the first write operation have been sent, and sending a write command to the target in-between sending two of the data packets so that the second write command is sent before completion of the first write operation.
