Abstract

The invention provides low surface tension surfactants based on amino alcohol and also provides for their use in aqueous coating formulations, said surfactants being preparable by reacting at least one secondary amine of formula (I):with at least one diepoxide of formula (IV):and/or with at least one triepoxide of formula (IV):in essentially equivalent amounts of amine hydrogen atoms and epoxide groups.
