Abstract
A color filter is provided with red, green and blue color filter segments. When chromaticity coordinates (x, y) in a chromaticity diagram of XYZ color specification system are measured with the color filter being sandwiched between two polarizers, a chromaticity (xp, yp) of parallel-transmitted light and a chromaticity (xc, yc) of orthogonal-transmitted light satisfy the following formula (1):Δxy=[(xp−xc)2+(yp−yc)2]1/2<0.130 (1)A liquid crystal display device is provided with such a color filter.
