Abstract
A toner of a sulfonated polyester resin and at least one colorant is made to contain from about 0.01% by weigh to about 3% by weight of dry toner in total of lithium, sodium, zinc and calcium. The sulfonated polyester resin may be an alkali metal sulfonated polyester resin, wherein the alkali metal may be sodium and/or lithium. The toner may be formed in an emulsion aggregation process in which an alkali (II) metal salt such as a zinc salt and/or a calcium salt is used as an aggregating agent.
