Abstract

The invention relates to the use of oligomers and polymers capable of rendering insoluble drugs soluble, protecting unstable drugs, and facilitating the delivery of drugs to their site of action. This invention further relates to processes for the preparation of such oligomers and polymers, and to compositions containing them. In some instances, surfactants, which can include an oligomer, polymer, small molecule, or other material, can be used to form a micelle for encapsulating the drug. The miscelle can be used to protect the drug until the drug is to be released.
