Abstract

The invention relates to a longitudinal guiding element for a motor vehicle seat, comprising two rail-type guide elements extending in the longitudinal direction of the seat, and a guiding device by which means one guide element can be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the seat in relation to the other guide element. According to the invention, a first sliding guide (3, 4) is formed by a guiding slide (3) provided on one rail (1) and a guiding pin (4) provided on the other rail (2), and the second sliding guide (5, 6) is formed by a guiding pin (5) provided on one rail (1) and a guiding slide (6) provided on the other rail (2). The two sliding guides are successively arranged in the longitudinal direction of the seat.
